The Legacy Run 5K course will start and finish at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church (Grace EPC). This course is the same as Fields of Promise 5k.

The start and finish line will be in the parking lot of Grace EPC. With the exception of the N Iowa Street and Peterson Road sidewalks, runners will stay on the far left side of the street/sidewalk (against traffic). The intersections will be patrolled by Lawrence police or Legacy Run volunteers.
  • Proceed south out of Grace EPC parking lot.
  • Turn Left (west) onto Calvin Drive
  • Turn Left (south) onto Kasold Road
  • Turn Left (east) onto Peterson Road
  • Turn Right (south) onto Princeton Road
  • Turn Left (north) onto N Iowa Street -- runners stay on sidewalk
  • Turn Left (west) onto Peterson Road -- runners stay on north side sidewalk (wide)
  • Turn Right (north) onto Kasold Road
  • Turn Right (east) onto Calvin Drive
  • Turn Left (north) into Grace EPC parking lot

Race Rules

  • No pets allowed on the course.
  • Course control will close at a 20-minute per mile pace. Participants may continue but should be aware that control and aid stations may be ceased.
  • Race Day registration ends at 7:54 sharp. Please arrive early....
  • Race goodies will only be guaranteed to entrants prior to May 29, 2010
  • No headphones on course.
  • Strollers and wagons will be allowed. However, great caution should be exercised to ensure race etiquette is followed and to maintain safety of runners, walkers and children riding. Participants with strollers and wagons will be started at the back of the crowd in the starting area.
  • Results will be posted shortly after the race at the race site and on www.LegacyRun.com

Ample on-site parking will be available at the parking lot of Grace EPC.
